Thinking in VHS

Midjourney & Stable Diffusion, 2022-2023

As a child in the late 80s / early 90s (age c.10 - 14), I made up stories with my toys and drew VHS cover art for them. In late 2022 I decided to try and reinvent them with generative AI. Because I had something very specific in mind for these, there was lots of generating multiple images and layering/painting them together in Procreate. The story descriptions were written by me apart from Tapeworm, which was 90% ChatGPT. Layout, typography, and design were done in Figma.
